The MV Pioneer sank on November 23 while cruising near the South Shetland Islands in Antarctica, as large numbers of you might have heard. This was pretty much as lamentable as a friend or family member's demise for we who have dealt with endeavor ships. The Pilgrim, otherwise called "the little red boat," was the first eco-cruising campaign transport assembled. She was constructed explicitly for the Antarctic by Lars-Eric Lindblad, so it's a good idea that she currently lives there.
This photo of Pioneer was taken by me while we were cruising on the Amazon Waterway in Brazil between Manaus and Iquitos, Peru, and was taken by me. Cheap Flight Tickets
Consistently, I've cruised with many individuals who were on board when this misfortune happened. I cruised with Bengt Wimar various times to Svalbard, the Mediterranean, the Amazon, and the Caribbean at the hour of her sinking. After the sinking, Leif Skog, who was not on board at that point, was widely consulted and cited in the press, and he was inquired as to whether "no one but ice" might have been an element. We are mindful that stones from the land-based, chilly beginnings of the ice sheet habitually structure considerations in ice.
We will constantly recollect this blissful boat and the brilliant encounters she gave to in a real sense a huge number of lucky voyagers. It damages to think about her in the frigid water 3,300 feet beneath.
